When using the Roccbox Wood Burner 2.0, start by placing 3 to 5 pieces of wood into the burning chamber. A natural firelighter should then be placed into the recess below the burning chamber and ignited. Once lit, ensure the door is left open whilst the wood above the firelighter catches. The door can then be closed to allow air to be forced through the burner vents and supply the flames with oxygen. Once the flame has fully caught and a rolling flame can be seen within the Roccbox, additional pieces of wood can then be added to the burner to gradually bring the appliance up to the desired temperature. Further pieces should then be added every ten minutes or as required to maintain temperature.
When using the wood in the Gozney Dome, start by making a small (crisscross) stack of 8 pieces in the centre of the cooking floor. Place a natural firelighter at the bottom of the stack and ignite. Once the wood has fully caught, the stack can be pushed across to the left hand side of the oven floor and fed with further wood to maintain a consistent rolling flame. After around 30minutes of burn time (or until the desired temperature has been reached), the fire can then be moved across to the right hand side of the oven floor and the Dome will be ready for use.
